President Jeanne Smith opened the Annual Meeting, George Patterson led in singing God Bless America and John Walker gave the prayer. We had a good turnout, glad to see Harry Lowe, John Walker, John Ratnavale, and Bob Cressy. Lieutenant Governor Marvin Jackson made his official visit and was welcomed. Marvin is Division 17's Lt. Gov. for 2009-2010. We also were happy to have him with us during our 65th Charter Night last week.

In a vote by e-mail, with well over a quorum, the officers for 2010-2011 were elected. Congratulations to Jim Leder, President 2010-2011; Pat Norry, Vice President; Patricia Tiede, Secretary; Gary Boswell, Treasurer; Jeanne Smith, Immediate Past President. Directors for 2010-2011 are: Jim Aylor, Tracy Miller, Jeff Morrison, John Ratnavale and Richard Ruprecht. Directors for 2010-2012 are: Stephanie McCabe, and Shira Oler. Jim Leder will be contacting members for the various committee chair positions that need to be filled.

Bethesda's 37th Annual Golf Tournament |
Bretton Woods' 18-hole championship golf course challenges novices and experts alike. Presiding over 285 acres adjacent to the Potomac River, its 6,663 yards were designed by Ed Ault and have been played since 1968. This is our only fundraiser to support our charities. Details will be available next month. Plan to participate in some way. |

Bob Cressy HD for Jeanne Smith, and another HD for his participation in his OCS Army reunion in Lawton, OK at Fort Sill last week. Harry Lowe HD for one son graduating from James Madison University and another son from Elon College. No more college tuitions for Harry. They will be working in his insurance business after graduation. Jim Leder HD for Jeanne Smith and Pat Tiede for their work with the 65th Charter Night and the Miracle League. Bob Gradle HD for his first great grandchild born yesterday, also for Jeanne Smith for a successful Charter Night dinner. John Ratnavale HD for Jeanne Smith. Tracy Miller HD for Jeanne Smith and the Charter Night event. Tracy was amazed at how good the chorus was and the enthusiasm of the students, some of whom will be helping the YMCA Triathalon. Richard Ruprecht HD for Marv Jackson, a great friend of our club, HD for Jeanne Smith and Jim Leder. Pat Norry HD for Jeanne Smith and Charter Night. Marv Jackson HD for a successful and enjoyable Charter Night.
The monthly meeting of the Board of Directors met following lunch.
Richard Ruprecht won the 50/50.
