Serving the Community Since 1945

Meeting Date: April 1, 2010

President Jeanne Smith opened the meeting.  Stephanie McCabe led the Pledge, George Patterson led in singing of God Bless America and Shira Oler led us in prayer. It was good to see everyone on a beautiful spring day.

The Kiwanis Club of Bethesda contributed $2,500 to  Rebuilding Together.   A great hands-on event will be on Saturday, April 24.  We need students and able bodied hands to help with this year's house in Silver Spring off of Randolph Road.  The family has three teenage children. The most important work involves skilled workers (plumbers, electricians). They could also use help with some outside work of weeding, mulching and planting on Project Day.  For more complete information, contact Robert Quinn at 301-217-6450 or email:  robert.quinn@nmfn.comRebuilding Together is the nation’s leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities. Their network of more than 200 affiliates provides free rehabilitation and critical repairs to the homes of low-income Americans.
