Serving the Community Since 1945
Meeting Date: February 4, 2010
President Jeanne Smith presided. George Patterson led us in the Pledge and My Country 'Tis of Thee and John Walker gave the prayer. Shira Oler was welcomed back from a cruise where the weather was cool, not warm. Jeanne is starting her term (February through May) as our second President for the year. She recapped the meeting held on January 21 where we had 28 attendees from six of the eight clubs in the Division. Our meeting scheduled for January 28 was cancelled due to small attendance. There was discussion if we should change the starting time of our meetings. When we moved to Tragara, the starting time was set at 11:45 so that parking was readily available. An e-mail poll will be taken of the membership.

The Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health is a residential "place like home" for sick children and their families. Children come from across the country and around the world to stay together with their families in The Inn’s healing environment while receiving groundbreaking medical treatments at the NIH, the world’s leading biomedical research center. While the NIH takes care of the child’s medical needs, The Inn tends to the child’s heart, soul and spirit.
