Weekly Newsletter of the Kiwanis Club of Bethesda, Maryland
Serving the Community Since 1945
Meeting Date: April 23, 2009
President Jim Leder opened our meeting with the Pledge and Bill Hague led us in God Bless America. Rev. Hague gave the prayer. President Jim reminded all attendees at today's meeting to email him “the reason you joined Kiwanis.” He has received two comments and wants to hear from everyone in the club. Bring to the next meeting or send to drno812@aol.com. It was good to see Lynn Hounslow, who was the first female President of our club. Gary Boswell was back and we are glad he has survived the 2009 tax season. We all signed get-well cards for Bernadeen Zivkovic, who had an accident at the Y and was sent home to recuperate and for Liz Jackson, wife of Marvin Jackson, Lt. Governor-elect for District 17, who had surgery on her back. Congratulations were given to Bob Cressy who will soon be celebrating his 15th wedding anniversary.
