REMINDER - EFFECTIVE MARCH 11, OUR LUNCH MEETINGS WILL START AT 12 NOON. PLEASE BE ON TIME TO JOIN IN OUR TRADITIONAL OPENING AND TO ENJOY THE FELLOWSHIP OF MEMBERS AND GUESTS.

President Jeanne Smith presided after George Patterson led us in the Pledge and singing of My Country 'Tis of Thee. Jim Leder led us in prayer. This is the first meeting where we are starting promptly at 12 o'clock. It was good to see Bill Pennington back from his winter vacation in Florida and new member Stephanie McCabe.

Happy Dollars:

Pat Tiede HD's for Jeanne Smith's birthday on March 10 and for Jim Leder who spent long late-night hours filling out paperwork to obtain a $250,000 bond from the State of Maryland to help fund the Miracle League ballpark. Pat Tiede and Jim Leder will go to Annapolis on Saturday, March 13 to meet with Senator Rob Garagiola prior to the hearing at noon. Everyone was reminded to participate in the District 17 Fundraiser being held on Sunday, April 25 at the Olney Theater. Eight clubs in our district are purchasing theater tickets, contributing Silent Auction Items, and/or putting an ad in the program. The proceeds of the Fundraiser this year will be The Miracle League. We hope everyone in the club will contribute to this event. Contact Jeanne Smith for more detailed information.

Attendees at today's luncheon discussed vegetables - likes and dislikes. These three were the most unpopular among our attendees.


Brussels sprouts, part of the cabbage family, but not well loved by some of our leaders!!!	Lima beans or also known as butter beans--they can be green or yellow!	Lore has it that beets are good for your blood. Now who doesn't like beets? Try them pickled!

Tracy Miller won the 50/50 and returned it to the club.
